Midnight Mind Magazine is back…

It’s been 20 long years since we dropped the last issue of Midnight Mind Magazine. We didn’t know at the time it would be our last. And we didn’t know then that in 2024, 20 years after issue #7 was supposed to be released, that indeed Midnight Mind Number Seven would be created, and released, and the magazine would come back!

It’s been a wild road between then and now. I moved to the west coast, married an amazing girl, had 2 wonderful kids and landed in the wine industry. In 2012, my best friends decided to start a winery and I joined them in the pursuit. It was a welcome creative outlet with no “boss” to tell me know. I loved the creative freedom and loved the winery. In 2021, we decided – for several heartbreaking reasons – to shut down the winery.

While that was hard, the work there had reminded me that the most honest creative outlet has no “boss”, and I was thinking about how I could continue that. Then, I thought, it was time to bring back Midnight Mind Magazine. It made sense: My kids have found their own passions that take their time, my wife has turned our acre in Napa into a flower farm, and I could time it so Midnight Mind came back on the 20th anniversary of the original target date for MM#7.

And so it was off to the races. I re-launched MidnightMind.com and immediately called and email and tracked down the old team, the old authors, etc. In October of 2024, Midnight Mind Number Seven was released. I am already working on #8 – expanding the team, collecting subscribers, working with writers again and getting the magazine into bookstores.

It’s good to be back!

You can find out all about it at MidnightMind.com.

Live Broadcast from Napa Valley

The launch of a brand new way of philanthropy in Napa Valley.

On March 24th, 2022, we launched Collective Napa Valley with a live broadcast from the Napa Valley Reserve in Napa Valley. This was a partnership with Somm TV from Los Angeles. I was responsible for making sure the broadcast went live without any issues, securing Will Blackmon as one of the hosts for the evening and promoting it in social media and email marketing leading up to the event.

The evening was a huge success with almost half of the Collective Napa Valley members tuning in live for the broadcast.
